About the Game
Gang Takeover was built to bring real-time, authoritative strategy to the browser without the friction of a massive client download.
The Vision
We wanted a game where the map itself is the primary resource. Not a static background, but a living, hostile environment. The core loop—expand, defend, profit, repeat—is inspired by classic mob management and grand strategy games, condensed into a fast-paced multiplayer arena.
Our Approach
By running combat, economy, and territory logic on a secure, authoritative server, we ensure that every shot fired and every block taken is fair. We believe browser games don't have to compromise on depth, anti-cheat, or mechanical integrity.
Who Writes the Field Guide
The same development team that maintains Gang Takeover writes the public Field Guide. We verify mechanical claims against the shared game catalog used by both the solo engine and multiplayer server, then review the pages whenever balance or systems change. Screenshots come from the live game rather than stock art or a separate marketing mock-up.
What Readers Can Expect
The guide explains how the city actually behaves: where district tradeoffs matter, how rival leaders change a war, what a city event asks you to prioritize, and why a profitable block can still be a bad capture. It is designed to help a new player survive a first run and give experienced crews a reliable reference when the rules change.
